Cake Brownies
These cake brownies are somewhat less dense and almost cake-like compared to ready-made mixtures one would buy from a store.

- white granulated sugar, 6 3/4 oz / 2.4 dl1 cup
- melted butter or cream, 4 1/4 oz / 120 g; or cream1/2 cup
- cocoa4 tbsp
- flour, 6 1/4 oz / 180 g / 1.8 dl3/4 cup
- salt1/2 tsp
- baking powder1/2 tsp
- vanilla1 tsp
- walnuts or other nuts, 4 1/4 oz / 120 g / 1.2 dl; chopped; or other nuts; optional1/2 cup

Method 6 steps
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 9 inch (23 x 23 cm) square cake pan.
Whisk eggs until light in a medium-sized bowl.
Add sugar, melted butter, and cocoa. Mix well.
Add flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla, and nuts. Mix well with a rubber spatula.
Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 °F/175 °C (Gas Mark 4).
Cool.
